Robert is a Chartered Accountant. He held various positions within the ABSA Group during a period of 21 years ending in 2008, the last of which were as Head of ABSA Corporate and Business Bank and Head of ABSA Africa. Robert was also a member of the ABSA Executive Committee from 2005 to 2008. He currently holds non-executive directorships of a number of companies, including the listed company Blue Financial Services Limited.
